Normally when doing research for this blog I like to have some things in mind as I search news sites and forums. I happened upon a youtuber investigating classified information through a close military friend (unnamed but purported to be legitimate) who had high classification in rank and security in his operations at the time and has since been retired. Here's what I've discovered recently upon wanting to investigate more:

North American Union "Conspiracy" Now Offical Mainstream Media on CNN

""A pair of globalist-minded academics is arguing for an idea that, just a few short years ago, was derided as conspiratorial -- and by the same cable news outlet where the two are making their case: CNN.

In an online column for the Cable News Network, Andres Martinez -- editorial director of Zocalo Public Square and professor of practice at the Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University -- and Daniel Kurtz-Phelan -- an Eric and Wendy Schmidt Fellow at New America and a former adviser on Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's policy planning staff -- argue for a European-style merger between the U.S., Canada and Mexico, though CNN attempted to ridicule former U.S. Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, for his previous mention of a North American Union.

As reported by The New American magazine in its online edition, the recent op-ed by Martinez and Kurtz-Phelan, on behalf of New America, a globalist-centric think tank, the future of the U.S. "lies in North America," not in the Constitution or the American people.

"This is not a geographic truism, but a strategic imperative," they argued. "The United States, Canada and Mexico are bound by a shared economic, environmental, demographic and cultural destiny.""

Borders are quaint anachronisms

In recognition of what they refer to as North America's "shared destiny," Martinez and Kurtz-Phelan propose the establishment of what they call a "North American passport." The radical passport scheme would eventually facilitate the erasing of U.S. borders in exchange for "North American" borders -- a plot that has been underway for years with the "Beyond the Border" initiative and other schemes.

"Much like the EU passport," they said, the new North American passport would ultimately allow all North American residents to "travel, work, invest, learn and innovate anywhere in North America."

On its website, New America states the organization "is dedicated to the renewal of American politics, prosperity, and purpose in the digital age through big ideas, technological innovation, next generation politics, and creative engagement with broad audiences."

The scholars argue that prior continent-wide economic ties through mechanisms like the North American Free Trade Agreement have enriched all three countries and have inextricably tied them together for the long haul.

What's more, the duo derides traditional boundaries between countries as quaint anachronisms that have no place in the modern era; sovereignty, to them, is an relic of the Old World.

This is especially true as it pertains to North American energy resources, they argue. Such resources "must be leveraged regionally, with cross-border infrastructure investments and environmental planning."Even if Washington still thinks in terms of tidy lines separating nation states," they continued, "mineral resources are about as influenced by such lines on a map as the water gushing down the Colorado River.""

Will the Restart of the Now SUPER LHC at CERN be the Most Dramatic Mistake in the History of Mankind?

""Fears that high energy collision experiments with the LHC, the world’s largest particle accelerator located in the Jura mountains near the Franco-Swiss border, could trigger an Earth-wide or even universe-wide catastrophe have been increased by news that the newly upgraded LHC will generate particle collisions at nearly double the energy level previously achieved.

In a typical doomsday blog post titled, “‘Big Bang’ Begins March 2015 – Will Gates Of Hell Soon Open To The Destruction Of All Creation?,” the conspiracy theory website All News Pipeline raised the alarm of impending doom with the report that two prominent and respected scientists, Stephen Hawking and Neil de Grasse Tyson, “have recently issued independent warnings” that the experiments could lead to doomsday.

When the LHC is switched on once again, it will accelerate fundamental particles to even higher kinetic energies or velocities than in previous experiments. The higher kinetic energies effectively bring scientists closer to the “Big Bang” moment of creation of the universe.

Data collected from the collision events would help scientists to test their theories about the structure of the universe and determine which of their competing theories about the universe fit the experimental observations best.

Scientists are particularly interested in confirming earlier results that indicated discovery of the Higgs boson (“God Particle”) predicted by the Standard Model and believed to explain how matter acquires mass.

But the news that the LHC will restart in March is generating fears in doomsday circles, with many believing that experiments which create conditions similar to those that existed at the time of the Big Bang could wipe out the Earth and even the entire universe.

Among concerns being expressed are that high energy collisions could generate microscopic black holes or other exotic particles called strangelets that could cause catastrophic destruction of our world.

While scientists argue that Einstein’s relativity theory rules out the possibility that black holes could be produced in the LHC, they admit that there are other “speculative” theories which predict that black holes could be generated. Thus, while it is “unlikely,” scientists are unable to rule out the possibility that black holes will be generated at the LHC.

But scientists assure that even if a microscopic black hole is generated at the LHC, it would disintegrate immediately before it has time to begin sucking up matter around it.

Linked to the fear that the LHC could generate a black hole is the fear that because the universe exists in an unstable state, collisions at the LHC could generate perturbations that cause the physical environment to move into a stable state called a “vacuum bubble” that could destroy the entire universe.

The famous physicist Stephen Hawking helped to raise fears among doomsday theorists when he talked about the risk of the “vacuum bubble” last year. He said that discovery of the Higgs boson could cause space and time to collapse catastrophically through a “vacuum decay.”

But while doomsday theorists gave attention to the alarming first part of his statement, they ignored the second part in which he said that current CERN particle accelerators are not powerful enough to generate high energy states that can destroy the universe.

Origins of Snake Ancestors Lengthened by Aeons, New Found Fossils Now Date as Far Back a 167 Million Years

According to research published Tuesday in Nature Communications, we may need to slither back the clock on snake evolution.

In fact, we may have been pretty wrong about just how snakes evolved from the common ancestors they share with modern lizards. Until now, the oldest-known snake fossils were only about 100 million years old. The new study presents not one, but four new specimens that are much older -- dating back as many as 167 million years -- found in neglected museum collections around the world. And these older fossils show the long, thin skulls that distinguish snakes from lizards today. Many scientists previously believed that snakes became long and limbless before they evolved their distinctive heads.

"The skulls of these animals are much more snakelike than even I thought they would have been," said study author Michael Caldwell, a paleontologist at the University of Alberta. "Which means that this quality of snake-ness had clearly occurred much earlier than we'd thought."

That's not so shocking when you look at lizard evolution.

"We can recognize that most of the major groups of lizards were already present at the time," he said. So it seems that snakes were evolving at much the same pace, as opposed to undergoing some rapid deviation from lizards 100 million years ago.

The new fossils are just small fragments of snake -- enough to show that they had snake-like heads, but not much else. Caldwell feels fairly certain that they still have had four limbs at the time, but can't be sure.

Caldwell and his colleagues found the new specimens by digging through museum drawers instead of archaeological sites. Many museums have untapped fossil and skeleton collections just waiting for specialized researchers to examine them.
