Ancient “Cloth of the World" - Hereford Mappa Mundi - Tales of Cities, Beasts and Stories

Secreted away beneath the floor of an English cathedral was a large calfskin canvas featuring what, at first glance, appeared to be a map of the world. Once recovered and repaired, the map was found to date to 1285. While a myriad of cities and towns are depicted on the medieval Mappa Mundi, more than 500 ink drawings illustrate biblical events, exotic plants and animals, wild and strange creatures, and classical myths. More than just a map, the “Cloth of the World” remains one of the greatest surviving artworks of the Middle Ages.

Known as the Hereford Mappa Mundi, medieval artwork showcasing history, religion, and mythology is depicted in intricate detail on a single sheet of vellum, or preserved calfskin. The skin stretches five feet high by four feet across, and is attached to an oak frame. The remarkable artifact remains the largest medieval map still known to exist.

The tangled ink illustrations of black, gold, green and blue, reflect a medieval European understanding of the known world at the time—and also the unknown world of the supernatural— highlighting not just the human world of men, cities and seas, but entire bestiaries of horrifying mythical creatures and the strange cultures of distant lands. It was not for use as a navigational tool, but instead was an artistic compendium of people, parables, and places.

Towns and Cities

Most obvious is the cartography of the Mappa Mundi. East is found at the top of the map, as this orientation represented the rising of the sun and the second coming of the Christ. The world is laid out in a circle, and because of its Christian framework, Jerusalem sits at its center, a common theme in medieval mapmaking.  At the very middle of the map a small hole has been pierced where a compass-like instrument was used to create a perfect circle which became an image of a fortified wall with eight towers.

Continents included are Asia, Africa, Europe and the Mediterranean.

Approximately 420 towns and cities of the day are represented on the map, such as Rome and Paris (and Hereford), as well as oceans and important landmarks. 

Myths and Legends

Eight classical legends are included on the elaborate map.

The Golden Fleece as quested for by Jason and the Argonauts is found drawn on the coast of the Black Sea.

The Cretan Labyrinth which bound the mythical Minotaur is depicted on the vellum. It was a recognizable symbol in the Middle Ages, as labyrinths were laid out on floor paving of cathedrals. These winding pathways acted as spiritual pilgrimages for the faithful.

In classical myth, the Columns of Hercules represented the western edge of the known inhabited world. This is marked on the Mappa Mundi at the Strait of Gibraltar.

Even the camp of Alexander the Great is illustrated on the map. Legends of the deeds and successes of the heroic leader were popular with scholars at the time. Alexander’s camp is shown as many tall tents, and a strong wall runs along his camp, which Alexander was thought to have built to repel and imprison the “destructive evil of the Sons of Cain.” The area below this is attributed to the “Scythian races”, and as knowledge of this region was limited, the area is decorated with dramatic and wild images.

Bible Stories

Jesus is found at the very top of the map, highlighting his significance and importance in the Christian faith. Along his right, people travel from death into heaven, and on his left, the damned are chained and dragged off to Hell, represented by a beast’s gaping maw, including sharp teeth and glaring eyes.

15 bible stories are illustrated on the Mappa Mundi. The Garden of Eden, including Adam, a serpent, and Eve, is found near the top. Eden is surrounded by a ring of fire, signifying that it is off limits to humanity.

A boat filled with creatures and a bearded man represents the tale of Noah’s Ark.

The largest building on the map is the five-story city of Babylon. The topmost structure is labelled the “Tower of Babel.” The sheer size of the elaborate drawing, as well as the details of the text on the map, emphasize the arrogance and pride of the people who were said to build a tower so high that it might challenge god. In the biblical legend, God’s punishment ultimately caused humanity to speak in different languages.

On the map a long, curving line cuts a path through a red-ink Red Sea, depicting the travel route of the Israelites in the story of Exodus.

Bestiary

Many natural and unnatural creatures abound on the Hereford Mappa Mundi. Animals less well-known to medieval Europeans, such as camels or elephants, were drawn with some success on the map. A camel with two humps is located south of the Memarnau Mountains. Bestiaries (books of beasts) of the time described camels as living for one hundred years, and being only able to drink muddy water.

Elephants are drawn wearing constructed wooden towers, as the large animals were fitted with these fighting platforms for use in warfare by Indian and Persian soldiers. It was believed even then that elephants fear mice

The legendary unicorn is depicted on the map, with a single, long horn. Named Monoceros, the unicorn was often linked to Jesus. It was reputed to be strong enough to battle elephants, but could be tamed by innocent and virtuous young women.

33 different animals, exotic plants and birds are described in ink on the Mappa Mundi.

Monstrous Strangers

Various strange and wonderful people are represented on the map, both real and unreal. Likely due to exaggerated traveler tales of dangerous foreign cultures, 32 images include outrageous people, such as the Blemmye; a war-like race of people with no heads, and with facial features in their chests.

Ancient Roman Nanotechnology Found in Goblet Chalice Stuns Experts

""A Roman goblet could be an 1,600-year-old example of nanotechnology, according to experts. The mysterious Lycurgus Cup is made of dichroic glass and appears green when lit from the front and turns bright red when a light is shone on it from behind.

The chalice, which is on display at The British Museum, London, uses similar techniques to modern nanotechnology - the manipulation of materials on an atomic and molecular scale - which scientists believe could be used for everything from diagnosing diseases to identifying bioharzards at airports.

Scientists only solved the mystery of the color-changing chalice in 1990, after being baffled by its behavior for decades, Smithsonian Magazine reported. 

After putting broken fragments of glass under a microscope, scientists found the Romans had impregnated it with particles of sliver and gold, which they ground down to tiny proportions - around 50 nanometres in diameter - a thousand times smaller than a grain of salt.

The precise amount of metals has lead experts to hail the Romans as 'nanotechnology pioneers' who really knew what they were doing. Archaeologist Ian Freestone, of University College London, who researched the cup and its unusual optical properties, called its construction an 'amazing feat'.

The cup appears to change color as when light hits it as the flecks of metals' electrons vibrate in ways that seem to change the color, depending on where the observer is looking at it. The chalice was used to hold drink on special occasions and experts believe that when it was filled, the behavior of the vibrating electrons changed, as well as it's color.

Gang Logan Liu, an engineer and nanotechnology expert at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign told the publication: 'The Romans knew how to make and use nano-particles for beautiful art.'

Of course scientists could not investigate the effects of the one-of-a-kind cup by filling it with liquid. Instead, they reportedly imprinted billions of little wells onto a piece of plastic the size of a postage stamp and sprayed them with gold and silver nano-particles to essentially re-create the special configuration of the cup.

The scientists then poured different liquids into the wells to note the effect they had. When they filled a well with water it turned the surface light blue, while pouring oil inside turned it bright red.""

Hawaiian Protests Use of New Astronomers Telescopes Construction Development Site

""If completed, the Thirty Meter Telescope (TMT), to be built atop Hawaii’s dormant Mauna Kea volcano, will be one of the largest and most powerful telescopes in the world. According to the project’s organizers, the TMT “will enable astronomers to study objects in our own solar system and stars throughout our Milky Way and its neighboring galaxies, and forming galaxies at the very edge of the observable universe, near the beginning of time.”

It will be quite the scientific feat, and undoubtedly a boon to astronomical institutions the world over. The governments of the United States, China, Japan, India, and Canada have all contributed funds in hopes of eventually utilizing research undertaken at the TMT observatory, which is affiliated with the California Institute of Technology.

But building the TMT is proving to be a costly project—in more ways than one. The estimated bill weighs in at a whopping $1.4 billion. But for native Hawaiians, the financial costs pale in comparison to the cultural ones.

The summit of Mauna Kea is considered sacred ground by practitioners of the native Hawaiian religion, who believe it to be the otherworldly temple of Wa Akua, the creator-deity. According to a report compiled by Harvard University’s Pluralism Project, “In ancient Polynesian oral history, the summit is considered the meeting place of Earth Mother and Sky Father, parents of the entire human race.”

“It’s our garden of Eden,” an unnamed native man told researchers. “Though such an analogy defies the specificity of the place for native Hawaiians,” the Harvard authors qualify.

Dozens of demonstrators, most of them native-Hawaiian, first ascended to the TMT worksite at the end of Mar. 2015, halting preliminary construction. A number of celebrities, including those of native-Hawaiian descent like Game of Thrones’s Jason Momoa and singer Nicole Scherzinger, have since joined the effort online, posting self-portraits to Instagram with “We Are Mauna Kea” scrawled across arms and collarbones.

“Our stance is not against the science,” Lanakila Mangauil, 27, one of the Mauna Kea protesters, told The Hawaii Tribune Herald. “It’s not against the science. It’s not against the TMT itself. It’s against their choice of place.”

So what inspired this controversial “choice of place”? The short answer: convenience.

Mauna Kea is home to a larger complex of observatories—13, to be exact—operated by astronomers from roughly a dozen different countries. (Most of these were met with similar protests at the time of construction—though none as viral as the one unfolding now.) This means that TMT astronomers would have access to an abundance of scientific and technological resources. According to the University of Hawaii’s Institute for Astronomy, which also operates an observatory atop Mauna Kea, “the combined light-gathering power of the telescopes on Mauna Kea is fifteen times greater than that of the Palomar telescope in California—or many years the world’s largest—and sixty times greater than that of the Hubble Space Telescope.""

Hundreds of Ancient Mummies Discovered in Peru Ceremonial Site

""Archaeologists in Peru made a monumental discovery when they found dozens of tombs with up to 40 mummies in each at a 1,200-year-old ceremonial site in Cotahuasi Valley. So far 171 mummies have been discovered across seven tombs, but it is thought that there may be thousands more.

The finding was made at Tenahaha, a 4 hectare site in the Cotahuasi Valley, which was established during the height of the Wari Empire (500 – 1000 AD). Very little archaeological research has been undertaken in the region due to its sheer remoteness. The Cotahuasi Canyon, sitting at 3535 meters (11,600 feet) above sea level, is the deepest canyon in the world – about twice as deep as the Grand Canyon. A number of prehistoric cultures occupied the canyon and its eastern plateau from the earliest Paleoindians to the Incas (11,000 BC – 1532 AD).

In recent years, archaeological research and analysis has begun piecing together the importance of Tenahaha during a period of growth and expansion from the first state-level society in the Andes and increased interregional interactions in the Cotahuasi Valley. The site is composed of a ceremonial/domestic component concentrated into a 2 hectare area, and a second component is composed of clusters of tombs located on the hillocks surrounding the ceremonial area.

"The dead, likely numbering in the low thousands, towered over the living," wrote archaeologist Justin Jennings, in the newly published book Tenahaha and the Wari State: A View of the Middle Horizon from the Cotahuasi Valley.

According to Live Science, the mummies range in age from babies to adults and had been placed with their knees tucked up towards their shoulders with their arms folded across their chest. Like other burials discovered in Peru, the deceased were then tied with rope and wrapped in layers of textiles. The younger mummies, including babies and neonate fetuses, were buried in jars.

The mummies found at Tenahaha are not, however, as well preserved as those found at Chauchilla (shown above).

Broken Mummies

“The mummified remains were in poor shape due to damage from water and rodents,” reports Live Science. “Additionally, the researchers found some of the mummies were intentionally broken apart, their bones scattered and moved between the tombs. In one tomb the scientists found almost 400 isolated human remains, including teeth, hands and feet.”

"Though many individuals were broken apart, others were left intact," Jennings wrote in the book. "People were moved around the tombs, but they sometimes remained bunched together, and even earth or rocks were used to separate some groups and individuals." Some grave goods were smashed apart, while others were left intact, he said.

Researchers are not entirely sure why some mummies were broken apart and moved, while others were left in intact. However, the separation and movement of skeletal remains is a known practice to have taken place throughout the Andes.  In February this year, archaeologists investigating a religious complex in Bolivia discovered an ancient mortuary where human body parts were stripped of their flesh, cleaned, and transported, making them what archeologist Scott C. Smith called “portable ancestors”.""

The CERN LHC Experiment Machine Built for the Manipulation of Time?

""What is time? When did it begin? Who created it? The answer to time can be found in the Bible. God did not create time, nor should we believe in it. Most unfortunately, however, was when the initial ‘Time Wave’ spawned by the LHC ‘erupted’ from the ‘Sun Gate’ and headed out towards the space above South America it (literally) ‘glanced into’ the path of an Iberworld Airbus A330-300flown by Air Comet which was ready to begin its descent into Santa Cruz, Bolivia, but then found itself ‘instantly and mysteriously’ over the skies of Santa Cruz (de Tenerife), Spain over 5,500 miles (8,900 km) away.  [Note: All 170 passengers and the crew of flight A7-301were safe and after 17 hours on the ground in Spain departed back to Bolivia where they arrived safe and sound.] After this mysterious event CERN scientists shut down the LHC blaming their failed experiment on a bird dropping a piece of bread onto outdoor machinery, after which their Director for Research and Scientific Computing, Sergio Bertolucci, warned that the titanic LHC machine may possibly create or discover previously unimagined scientific phenomena, or “unknown unknowns” such as an “extra dimension”. But, even after shutting down the LHC the “dimensional distortions” created in South America by this ‘Time Wave’ continued to felt and led to the “Gateway of the Sun” monolith sending out what Russian scientists have likened to a “digital communication” towards the thousands of Pyramids in Brazil and other “ancient sites” throughout the Andes Region of South America and leading to the massive power outage (on November 11, 2009) that plunged tens-of-millions into darkness. Brazilian government officials in seeking to hide the true cause of this massive power outage had originally blamed it on “atmospheric discharges related to strong rain and wind“, a claim immediately shot down by State prosecutors who are demanding the public be told the truth before the week is out.” -MORE

The LHC actually transported a plane from one spot on earth to another. Which means that it is opening portals in time and space. The question for the plane above was did it go back in time? Or was it teleported through a door in time? A scientist from CERN’s research department can help us answer this question “The titanic machine LHC may possibly create or discover previously unimagined scientific phenomena, or “unknown unknowns” – for instance “an extra dimension”. “Out of this door might come something, or we might send something through it.” -Italian scientist Sergio Bertolucci, who is Director for Research and Scientific Computing at CERN

Being that the LHC can alter time and space, means that they are opening portals upon its “restart” which may be why the Elites agenda speeds up and slows down. This is the reason that there is no date really can be guessed because if it is guessed they can change time and space to match their event. Even worse for these regions in South America, these reports continue, is that the ‘effects’ of this ‘Time Wave’ may be ‘far from over’, according to Russian scientists who have noted a marked increase in seismic activity throughout the locations of the most ancient cities in Chile, Bolivia, Paraguay, Brazil and Argentina. The latest of these ancient cities to be hit by the effects of this ‘Time Wave’ are the pre-Inca ruins located near Calama on the banks of the river Loa which was struck today by a powerful 6.5 magnitude earthquake, and the Bolivian regions of Tiahuanaco (?) struck by a 5.8 magnitude trembler shortly thereafter. Not being widely known to most peoples in the West is that the America’s have one of the largest concentrations of ancient sacred sites and pyramids in the World, especially in Brazil where in 1996 the oldest of these structures were discovered and dated to have been built centuries before the great pyramids in Egypt. Unlike their Egyptian counterparts however, the builders of the pyramids in the America’s are not known, and in the case of the 12 Brazilian pyramids lying near the Peruvian Andes Mountains (the longest and among the oldest mountains in the World) still unexplored. Even more interesting to note about the ancient origins of the peoples of South America is the base root of all of their languages being tied to Europe in what many Russian historians categorize as the Antediluvian “pre-flood” period of human civilization before the last great cataclysmic changes to our Earth took place an estimated 5,000 years ago. Now with the age of the South America Andes region known, and being combined with the thousands of ancient pyramids and cities built there (with a precision we are still unable to match in our modern times) many Russian historians have long theorized that these great mountains became the home of the most advanced members of the pre-flood civilization who had fled there when our Earth last overturned itself. Even more interesting to note are those theories that state that the ancient survivors of these cataclysmic Earth changes set up a ‘warning system’ throughout South America (its vast Amazon region known to be the “lungs of our World”) that is connected 

to our entire Planet to forewarn future generations of human kind when these horrors would be visited upon our species once again. And their ‘method’ of establishing this ‘warning system’, and encoding the memories of our Earth’s most ancient past, was through the building of pyramids, all around the Globe, of silicon rich stones such as granite and sandstone. Not known to many is that the basis of our present modern technological age is our Earth’s most common metalloid, silicon, the second most abundant element after oxygen on our Planet that makes up fully 25.7% of our Earth’s crust, and which without we would not have glass, concrete, cement or any electrical device, especially computers. Even more importantly, the ability of silicon to both store and transmit power are termed vital to our Planets long-term survival against the ravages that nearly two centuries of using fossil fuels has visited upon us all. What is not known to our scientists of today is how powerful this ancient ‘silicon warning system’ actually is, or how much of it is still intact. But now, after it’s being struck by this new “Time Wave” there are fearful glimpses, indeed, of the unimaginable power still latent within it. To what purpose does it hold for our present World? That is not known by the scientists of today, but only by those of the long ago yesterdays of our human past who have through the centuries warned of the things to come. Much too sadly there are too few left to heed the ancient warnings, let alone act to protect themselves from the catastrophic horrors to come. But, for those seeking the truest knowledge of these things they should start re-learning how to listen to the rocks, a suggestion that the vast majority of these peoples will most certainly scoff and ridicule at, while at the same time listening to their music playing on their ‘modified rocks’ for hearing they call radios, or ‘modified rocks’ for viewing they call television, or the ‘modified rocks’ for writing they call computers. Given that the lead scientist at CERN is looking for the “first light in darkness”, we can assume that they are creating a time warp (portal) to the beginning of time and looking for the “big-bang”. In other words, they are creating a portal to the sun, and going through it to the “black-sun” which is Saturn to find the false light, which is Lucifer.

How is all of this powered, the amount of energy required is not just electrical, but it is also Spiritual. Spiritual power can be harnessed, harvested just as they have stated they are now at twice the power and ready to go.
