Pacific Ocean Volcanoes Forming off the Coast of Oregon as Predicted by State University Geologists for 2015

""NEWPORT, Ore. – Axial Seamount, an active underwater volcano located about 300 miles off the coast of Oregon and Washington, appears to be erupting – after two scientists had forecast that such an event would take place there in 2015.
Geologists Bill Chadwick of Oregon State University and Scott Nooner of the University of North Carolina Wilmington made their forecast last September during a public lecture and followed it up with blog postsand a reiteration of their forecast just last week at a scientific workshop.
They based their forecast on some of their previous research – funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), which showed how the volcano inflates and deflates like a balloon in a repeatable pattern as it responds to magma being fed into the seamount.
Since last Friday, the region has experienced thousands of tiny earthquakes – a sign that magma is moving toward the surface – and the seafloor dropped by 2.4 meters, or nearly eight feet, also a sign of magma being withdrawn from a reservoir beneath the summit. Instrumentation recording the activity is part of the NSF-funded Ocean Observatories Initiative. William Wilcock of the University of Washington first observed the earthquakes.
“It isn’t clear yet whether the earthquakes and deflation at Axial are related to a full-blown eruption, or if it is only a large intrusion of magma that hasn’t quite reached the surface,” said Chadwick, who works out of OSU’s Hatfield Marine Science Center in Newport and also is affiliated with NOAA’s Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory. “There are some hints that lava did erupt, but we may not know for sure until we can get out there with a ship.”
In any case, the researchers say, such an eruption is not a threat to coastal residents. The earthquakes at Axial Seamount are small and the seafloor movements gradual and thus cannot cause a tsunami. Nor is the possible eruption tied to a possible Cascadia Subduction Zone earthquake.
“I have to say, I was having doubts about the forecast even the night before the activity started,” Chadwick admitted. “We didn’t have any real certainty that it would take place – it was more of a way to test our hypothesis that the pattern we have seen was repeatable and predictable.”
Axial Seamount provides scientists with an ideal laboratory, not only because of its close proximity to the Northwest coast, but for its unique structure.
“Because Axial is on very thin ocean crust, its ‘plumbing system’ is simpler than at most volcanoes on land that are often complicated by other factors related to having a thicker crust,” said Chadwick, who is an adjunct professor in OSU’s College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences. “Thus Axial can give us insights into how volcano magma systems work – and how eruptions might be predicted.”
Axial Seamount last erupted in 2011 and that event was loosely forecast by Chadwick and Nooner, who had said in 2006 that the volcano would erupt before 2014. Since the 2011 eruption, additional research led to a refined forecast that the next eruption would be in 2015 based on the fact that the rate of inflation had increased by about 400 percent since the last eruption.""

Alarm Bells Ringing: The Earth Sirens Are Sounding Off Again, Anyone Listening?

""People from different parts of the world have been left terrified after hearing what is believed to be an evil-sounding trumpet noise coming from an unknown location in the sky.

Residents who were able to capture the ominous sound went to upload their recordings on social media sites. Several of these clips came from Canada, Australia, Germany and the United States.

In a video shot last month from Germany, a child can be seen frightened stiff as the strange noise blasted from afar.

In Canada, Kimberly Wookey was able to record numerous clips of these mysterious sounds. She uploaded several of them on Youtube.

"This is the second time I personally have heard these sounds here in Terrace BC Canada," Wookey wrote on her Youtube account. "First time was June 19th 2013 at approx. 9-9:30am but it was not quite as intense."
In another entry, dated Aug. 29, 2013, Wookey claimed she was awoken by the loud noise, which she knew she had heard before. She said that she went to see her seven-year-old son who was also terrified by the noise.

Wookey added that she does not believe that the events had any connection with religious acts, or that the noises could have come from aliens, trains or construction.

She does, however, believe it could have something to do with a geophysical phenomenon.

Aaron Traylor, a resident of Montana, said that he had been suffering from nightmares after he uploaded the frightening sounds.

He recounted how his wife woke him up one evening because he was screaming in his sleep.

Traylor said he first heard the noise while he was with his daughter and his dog. When they heard the eerie sound, his daughter was suddenly stopped in her tracks and his dog's ears perked up.

According to reports, scientists at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) believe the noise could potentially be the "background noise" of the Earth.""

Ebola Patients Exposure in U.S. as Government Plans are Laughed Off by CNN, American Hotel Stocks Fall in Wall Street

""The Ebola outbreak in West Africa has long since disappeared from the radars of the world's news media, with coverage falling off dramatically from its peak last year.

That is especially true in the United States, but that coverage could soon change if a policy being pursued by the federal government's premier health agency backfires. And as of right now, one mainstream news channel - CNN - may actually be covering up some important details.

According to The Organic Prepper web site, several American healthcare workers who were either exposed or "potentially" exposed to the Ebola virus have been brought back to the United States for treatment. One who was positively diagnosed with the disease was taken to the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland.

But what about the others who were "potentially exposed?" The Organic Prepper's Daisy Luther notes that CNN initially ran a story claiming that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) was in charge of a plan to house the potentially infected in hotels, not hospitals.

Changing the story

Within days, however, CNN changed its story, dropping any reference to the CDC hotel connection. It now says that the potentially infected are merely being "housed" near key medical facilities:

Four of the clinicians arrived Saturday to housing on the campus of the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, according to spokesman Taylor Wilson. The workers have voluntarily agreed not to leave their housing.

"They will be monitored so they'll stay there," Wilson said.

Another aid worker was flown to Atlanta over the weekend and is being housed near Emory University Hospital, and three more workers are scheduled to arrive in Atlanta on Monday, according to Nancy Nydam, spokeswoman for the Georgia Department of Public Health.

As in Nebraska, the workers in Georgia must stay in their housing for 21 days after the date of their exposure to Ebola.

Risky business

The report stated further that health care workers monitoring the "housed" will contact them via Skype or face to face.

However, as Luther notes on her site, the original report went like this:

(The) CDC and the State Department are facilitating the return of additional American citizens who had potential exposure to the index patient or exposures similar to those that resulted in the infection of the index patient," the CDC said in a written statement. ...

Four people who had "more exposure than the others" to the patient with Ebola will isolate themselves in housing on the campus of the University of Nebraska Medical Center, said Nebraska Medicine spokesman Taylor Wilson. They arrived on the medical campus Saturday evening...

The other six are scheduled to fly into Washington on Sunday to go to the NIH, and into Atlanta on Monday to go to Emory...

Skinner said the Americans coming home will stay at hotels and other housing near the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, the National Institutes of Health in Maryland or Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.

What sane person would house someone who may have been infected with Ebola in a hotel? What happens if one or more of these persons actually are infected? How will the hotel room be cleaned? How can the public be certain it will be cleaned properly? And who to ensure that hospital staff aren't infected as well?""
